Details of Ministers

We are presenting the following for your kind prayer.  The details are about the ministries in Tamilnadu and the needs of the ministries in Andra Pradesh will be posted later.

1. KODAIKANAL CHURCH : This church ministry was started in the year 2000. The new church building was constructed and dedicated in 2003. The parsonage construction is yet to be completed. Please pray that God will provide US$ 7500 for its completion. Dr. Bevin G. Lawrence is pastoring this church. Please pray that many new souls will be added to the church.

2. HEADQUARTERS: The We have an office with staff at Kodaikanal. Please pray that God will provide US$ 1200 per month for the workers assistance, assistant pastor, office assistant and office expenses. Please also pray that God will provide US$ 550 for the purchase of a computer for the office.

3. CHILDREN’S HOME: The Children’s Home was started in the year 2000. At present there are 70 children with   four matrons and a cook. 38 children are sponsored by different sponsors. We need sponsors for 32 children. The sponsor amount for a child for one year is 250 USD. The extension and construction of the Children’s Home is underway and we need 2000 USD for its completion.

5. CHURCH AT MELPALLAM: This church was started in 1997 and the church building was constructed and dedicated in 1999. This church is very near to the tribal village from which many children are admitted in the Children’s Home. Pastor Samson is pasturing this church and please pray for the growth of the church.

 6. CHURCH AT CHENNAI: This church is pastured by Pastor Edison Victor. This was started in 1996. The church building constructed by the efforts of Edison was forcibly taken by some people and now the church is conducted in a rented building. He needs about USD 6000 for the purchase of a land for church construction. Please pray for this ministry. This is one of the fast growing churches of the COGIC India. Pastor Edison Victor is the secretary of COGIC India. 

7. CHURCH AT BHAVANI: this ministry was started in 1998. Bro. John Peter is the pastor here. The new church building was constructed and dedicated in 2002. A parsonage ws constructed and dedicated in 2005. Please pray for the growth of the church.

8. CHURCH AT LEBBAIKUDI: This church was started in 1998. Pastor Vinson is the pastor there. We have our own church building and parsonage here. Please pray for the growth of this church.

9. CHURCH AT PANAGUDI : This church was started in 1997. We have bought a land for the church and constructed the foundation through the money donated by the members of Panagudi church. 2500 $ are needed for the completion of the church construction.

10. CHURCH AT ARAMBOLI: This church is pastured by Pastor C.S. Durai. The church was started in 1998. A land for the construction is already purchased by the help of the church members. US$ 4000 is needed for the church construction. Please pray for the growth of the church. Bro. C.S. Durai is one of our Council Members.

11. CHURCH AT GOREGOAN, MUMBAI: This church was started in 2001. The pastor here is Bro. Peter John Paulraj. Most of the members are Hindu converts. This is a Hindi speaking congregation.

12. CHURCH AT THANA, MUMBAI: This is a Marathi speaking congregation pastored by Mrs. Deborah. Please pray for the growth of this church. Please pray that God will provide 10,000 US $ for the construction of this city church building.

14. CHURCH AT SIVAKASI: This is situated in an industrial city and T. Daniel is the pstor there. We need to construct a church here which will cost bout 10000 USD. Please pray for this church.

15. CHURCH AT COIMBATORE : This church was started 1996. This church is pastured by Paulmanickam who is an elderly pastor. The church is growing. But the service is conducted in a rented building and the pastor is living in a rented house. As this church is situated in a city, the cost of land and building are much. Please pray that God will provide US$ 22,000 for this purpose.

16. CHRCH AT PULIYANKUDI: R.S. Victor is the pastor here.  The church construction is underway. Please pray that the needs are met and it will be completed soon.

17. CHURCH AT RAJAPALAYAM: This church is a recently started one. There are 30 members in this church. Please pray for the construction of the church building here. Santhanam Samuel is the pastor here.

18. CHURCH AT TRICHY: This city church is pastured by Timothy. This congregation merged with us two years back. There are about 50 members in this church. A church building should be constructed as the service is conducted in a rented building. The cost of construction will be about 15,000 USD.

19. LAND FOR CONVENTION CENTER AND GUEST ROOMS: As we spend a lot of money and face inconveniences during our fellowship convention because our meetings are conducted in rented halls. To avoid this we pray that God should provide one acre of land at Melpallam to construct a Convention Hall and accommodation for the delegates and preachers. Please pray that God will provide US$ 10,000 for the purchase of this land.

Please continue to pray for the literature ministry, Sunday School ministry, Children’s Home ministry, Evangelical Crusades and Bible College ministry. Kindly pray that God will help us to attain our goal of 100 churches with at least 100 members in each church before the end of December 2006.
